Parleremo • Scottish Gaelic

Scottish Gaelic is a Celtic language native to Scotland, and is closely related to Manx and Irish. It was brought to Scotland around the 4th century AD by the Scots from Ireland. The Scottish Gaelic dialects are mutually intelligible, and written Irish can be understood by speakers to a large extent.
