Hello!

Recently it's not that easy to get ahold of me because of my health problems which get worse and worse.

Just now I got home from hospital but let me tell you the story:

- I had called the rescue station of the nearest hospital and told them about my problem, they told me to come over.
- I arrive there, tell them of my problem, they tell me to wait.
- 2.5 hours later they have noticed that their hospital doesn't have a station to treat me - and send me home!!!

I feel much worse now, of course. Only thanks to my anger I have managed to arrive home!

I had felt so awful at work and should actually be working this weekend (like every weekend) but I don't know what to do. I haven't slept in ages.

So much anger for nothing because my issues get worse and worse. This is just mean!

At least they forgot to collect the entry fee.

Later I have called the ambulance (which costs money but I wouldn't have needed it, if they had told me they can't treat me at the other hospital).

- They made some minor checks.
- I got told to go to a real doctor on Monday because they can't help me.
- It became very apparent that the doctor there thought I'm making everything up.

So I guess I have to drink at least 30 litres till Monday just to not drop to the ground unconsciously because I'm losing too much water. By the way, it is extremely unhealthy to drink that much. A while ago a woman died because she drank 6 litres in a row.

Oh, and now I had to pay the fee - for nothing, and again get home on my own.

Wow! Sorry to hear about all the problems. Are you losing fluids that rapidly? You haven't really said what the problem is, if you know.

I know you haven't been able to get on as much, but please keep us informed of what is going on with you.

They were supposed to find it out. I really don't know what's going on. It started right after I got my meds which I'm taking for years but I had already felt uneasy before them, so I simply don't know it.

If I don't drink massive amounts, my mouth gets dry and I feel dizzy.

I'm actually thinking of calling a counselling service, so that they can tell me where to find proper specialists. I'm so sick of it! That stress is even worse than my issues. ::)

Edit:
My mum just told me of a woman with a serious heart issue who left the rescue station after 6h of waiting because she couldn't endure to wait there anymore.

Edit2: If you lose water rapidly for more than a week, then it surely isn't made up, and you shouldn't get sent home either.

I've now really made a call and that nice woman could help me a lot. I got the address of a good specialist she also goes to, and, if it gets too bad till Monday, also a good hospital where they don't treat you like that. So don't worry, soon I'll be better. :) Mentally I already feel much less helpless. :D

By the way, this is not the first incident of that kind.

When I had a concussion at school, I got kicked out of the hospital 3 days later and I was supposed to get treated outside. The doctor outside then told me that he would have let me stay in hospital for at least 3 weeks. Consequently, I lost half a school year because I could hardly stay.

Another incident: I had a breakdown because of the heat and not enough water. A nice man called an ambulance with my mobile. I got kicked out of the hospital in the middle of the night and didn't know how to get home.

Why such poor treatment? I thought that Germany had a national health care system, so it's free for everyone. With such a system being fought over here, we are constantly told how wonderful Europeans have it with their health care systems.

Hah, what a wonderful fairy tale. Your propaganda is several decades out of date. In the GDR (East Germany - for the youngsters) it had been that way.

I already pay a lot every month for my student's health insurance, and then all those additional costs.

Update

I could finally reach the office of the recommended doctor via phone and can come over tomorrow morning. The woman at the reception understood the urgency. Normally you have to wait up to two weeks because it's a specialist. So hopefully I can get help soon. :)

Thank you all for your support! :)

The good doctor seems to be a magician! He didn't know for sure what the problem is but prescribed some pills and it already got better! He sent a sample to the lab. Hopefully, it will end soon, or else there have to be some further examinations. But I'm thinking positively and am believing in the magical abilities of that doctor. :D

Yes, I’ve found out the reason: my meds had been wrong. I hope it will get much better again in future. :)

I’m closing this thread now. Thank you again for your support. I know I had been difficult at times. The surgery two months ago did the trick. I’m still recovering from it which will still take some time but I’m not only physically but also mentally in a much better state now. Finally, I’m able to study again! :D
